Meet the Team

Joe Boyd

Joe Boyd

Financial Advisor, Owner - Legacy Group Financial Advisors

Life looks different for every individual and every family. Most of us want things to be easier to understand and accomplish, but we also value working with people who see us as individuals and genuinely care about our unique needs.

As the owner of The Legacy Group, I bring integrity, dedication, and personalized financial guidance to each client. My approach is rooted in honesty, ensuring that the strategies we develop align with your goals, values, and long-term vision.

My wife, Teresa, and I have been together for over 20 years, and we are blessed with three incredible children.
Balancing my professional responsibilities with being present at every family event, sharing meals together, and serving our church is something I take great pride in. I never want anyone to feel like an afterthought, whether in my personal life or professional relationships.

I truly enjoy helping others plan wisely for their future. I like to work with kind-hearted individuals who genuinely need assistance, including small business owners, families, retirees, and individuals preparing for retirement. I also serve those who see themselves as younger, older, or anywhere in between, as well as those who have worked hard to build great wealth and those at other navigation points on their financial and life journey.

As a teacher and leader, I believe in lifelong learning and applying wisdom to every decision. Whether it’s retirement planning, investment strategies, or wealth preservation, my goal is to simplify complex financial matters so you can focus on what truly matters to you.

Beyond my work, I am passionate about mentorship, community service, and personal growth. I enjoy volunteering, guiding young professionals, and spending time outdoors with my family. Building lasting relationships based on trust, transparency, and care shape how I do business and life.
At Legacy Group Financial Advisors, we are more than just financial advisors—we are partners in your financial and life journey, committed to helping you create a lasting legacy.

Grant Walker

Grant Walker

- Legacy Group Financial Advisors

Raised in southwest Missouri, Grant developed a deep appreciation for faith, family, and the values of hard work and integrity. After graduating high school, he attended college in Springfield, Missouri, where he continued building the foundation for a career centered on serving others. Those early experiences shaped his enduring commitment to helping people navigate life with wisdom, encouragement, and practical guidance.

Before entering the financial services industry, Grant spent nearly a decade working in healthcare and caring for others. During that time, he walked alongside individuals and families during some of their most challenging moments. This experience deepened his compassion and reinforced his sense of calling to serve. While he valued his work in healthcare, he ultimately pursued a long-standing goal of becoming a financial advisor, with the aim of helping families build security, steward their resources wisely, and plan confidently for the future.

Today, Grant combines a strong commitment to people with ongoing learning and professional growth. He approaches his work with integrity, diligence, and a genuine desire to act in the best interests of the families he serves. He believes financial planning extends beyond numbers—it is about building relationships rooted in trust and helping people gain clarity, confidence, and hope as they pursue their goals and care for those they love.

Grant and his wife, Megan, have been together since high school and were married in 2017. He credits much of who he is today to her love and support. Together, they are raising their children in a small town where life moves at a more meaningful pace. Much of their free time is spent working on the family farm, hunting, fishing, and enjoying the outdoors.

Above all, Grant attributes his outlook on life to his faith, which guides how he approaches family, work, and daily living. Whether personally or professionally, his passion remains centered on serving others and offering encouragement—firmly believing that there is always hope, regardless of the circumstances.

Anissa Longfellow

Director of Business Operations - Legacy Group Financial Advisors

I serve as Director of Business Operations at Legacy Group, where I focus on driving operational excellence and helping our team deliver a seamless, high-quality experience for every client we serve. With a background in human resources leadership, I bring a strong passion for people, organizational culture, and building systems that allow both clients and team members to thrive.
At my core, I am deeply people-centered. I value loyalty, friendship, and meaningful relationships—both in and out of the workplace. I’ve had the unique privilege of sharing a nearly lifelong friendship with our founder, Joe Boyd, and I remain closely connected with his family. Those relationships have helped shape who I am and continue to influence how I lead and serve others each day.
My journey has also included overcoming cancer; an experience that strengthened my perspective, deepened my gratitude, and reinforced my commitment to caring for others in a genuine and intentional way.
Professionally, I’m known for bringing both structure and heart to what I do—balancing organization and accountability with energy, positivity, and (when appropriate!) a little bit of fun and laughter! I believe the best teams are built on trust, encouragement, and a shared commitment to excellence.
Outside of work, I love spending time with my husband, Todd, and staying connected with my large, close-knit family, including my siblings and many nieces and nephews. I also enjoy traveling—especially to Estes Park, Colorado, a place that has felt like home away from home for over 20 years. And if there’s a game on, you’ll likely find me cheering on the St. Louis Cardinals or the St. Louis Blues!
Whether I’m working behind the scenes or celebrating with our team, I aim to bring excellence, heart, and a little extra fun to everything I do—because I believe that’s how great teams thrive and serve others best!
